WHAT IS IT

Edmonton Women in Finance (“EWF”) offers a variety of programs focused on supporting women in finance who are looking to start their careers, grow their network, and volunteer in the finance sector. EWF’s formal mentorship programs kicked off in 2020. We are proud that the 2020-2021 programs successfully resulted in 21 professional mentorship relationships and 20 post-secondary mentorship relationships. This year EWF has partnered with MENTOR Canada and CoLabL, and incorporated feedback from last year’s program, to offer even better mentorship experience for both mentors and mentees. Please visit our EWF Blog to learn more about previous program participants.

Professional Mentorship Program

Designed to match interested mentors with professional women looking for guidance as they navigate through their careers. Throughout the program, mentors and mentees will have opportunities to attend networking events, panel discussions, and skill-building/learning sessions.

Student Mentorship Program

For many post-secondary students, taking the first few steps toward a career in finance can be hard to navigate. This program is designed to help, by pairing students with finance professionals who are keen to share their experiences and provide impactful, one-on-one guidance. Our aim is to help students acquire skills and competencies while fostering meaningful connections with their mentors.
